Tenth Anniversary Celebration in Carrara – 11/12 November

To celebrate their 10th anniversary, the only Italian Branch of the Dickens Fellowship is pleased to announce that it will be holding a two day celebration over the weekend 11 and 12th November 2023. This will consist of a series of lectures on the Saturday on the theme of International Dickens: Dickens Abroad. Some speakers will be in-presence whilst others will appear on-line. Some of the talks will be delivered in English and some in Italian. A buffet will be provided at the conclusion of the talks, in the premises of the Carrara Branch.

On the Sunday there will be a visit by coach to the city of Genoa where there will the 'unique' opportunity to visit the 'pink jail' and Villa delle Peschiere where Dickens lived during his year in the city. Other sites in Genoa connected with Dickens will be also visited.

The conference of Saturday will be free but there will be a charge for the coach trip on Sunday. All members of the Dickens Fellowship will be welcome to attend.
