Miriam Margolyes OBE
Miriam is, of course, a distinguished actress of stage (Dickens’s Women – 1991 & 2012), screen (Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets -2002, Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows -2011, Little Dorrit – 1988, and the Man Who Invented Christmas – 2017), and television (The Real Marigold Hotel – 2016, and Miriam’s Big American Adventure -2017) amongst many other roles and shows.
Miriam is also patron of the Charles Dickens Museum in London and of the New South Wales Dickens Society.
Mark Charles Dickens
Mark is a great, great grandson of Charles Dickens and Head of the Dickens family. Mark served as President of the Fellowship 2011-13. Mark also serves on the Board of Directors of the Charles Dickens Museum in London.
Simon Callow CBE
Simon is an actor writer and theatre director. Amongst his published works are biographies of two great men of the theatre: Charles Laughton and Orson Welles, as well as ‘Dickens’s Christmas’ (2009 ‘ and Charles Dickens and the Great Theatre of the World’ (2012). Simon’s film roles include appearances in ‘Four Weddings and A Funeral’, ‘Amadeus’ and ‘Shakespeare In Love’ before appearing as John Leech in ‘The Man Who Invented Christmas’ in 2017. On the stage Simon endeared himself to Dickensians in his award-winning one-man show: ‘The Mystery of Charles Dickens’ in London and then on tour in both the UK and America. This was followed by his double-bill of ‘Dr Marigold’ and ‘Mr Chops, the Dwarf’ and his one-man version of ‘A Christmas Carol’. Simon is also a Patron of the Charles Dickens Museum in London.
