On Monday 24 October ‘The Times’ prominently featured a story concerning a recently discovered letter from Dickens in 1845 to his wine merchant concerning his purchase of a cask of wine from Carrara in Italy. The story also featured the following day in Carrara itself, where the Fellowship has its only Italian branch. The letter will be auctioned in New York and is estimated to fetch in excess of £2,000.
