In Memoriam: Margaret Brown

The Dickens Fellowship regrets to report the death of Margaret Brown on 11 February 2022. Margaret was a member of the Cambridge Branch pf the Fellowship from its inception. She was associated for over thirty years with the Pilgrim Edition of Dickens’s Letters, becoming Assistant Editor in 1997 and Associate Editor in 2002, thereby contributing significantly to Dickens studies. In March 2014 the Fellowship organised a one-day symposium in her honour at Wolfson College, Cambridge. Her funeral will take place in the West Chapel of Cambridge Crematorium on Friday 25 February at 12 noon.
