PUBLISHERS WEEKLY WRITES:

“With lyric beauty, welcome frankness, and rare emotional urgency, Boone reimagines Dickens’s Great Expectations in the American South, in the tumultuous 1960s, with a queer perspective and countless new and illuminating approaches. Furnace Creek generates suspense from both Dickens’s irresistible original framework and Boone’s fresh vision of the tale, a Southern Gothic whose innovations are always true to the realities of class, race, and sexuality of its milieu. Exquisite prose and a storyteller’s elan keep the story going."

London production of The Mystery of Edwin Drood this March!

Sedos will present the hilarious interactive musical whodunit, The Mystery of Edwin Drood, 22-26 March 2022, at the Bridewell Theatre (off Fleet Street). Written by Rupert Holmes, and loosely based on Charles Dickens' famously unfinished novel, the show is a unique theatrical experience, where the audience is invited at each performance to vote on how the story should end. The Music Hall Royale (a joyfully raucous Victorian musical troupe) are up to the challenge of acting out the audience's decisions at a moment's notice. Book your tickets now and cast your votes wisely to end Dickens' tale with your own twist!
