The terribly sad passing of HM The Queen, and the tributes paid to her, recall the evening in 2012 when she hosted a reception at Buckingham Palace to mark the bicentenary of the birth of Charles Dickens. Amongst the guests invited were prominent members of the Dickens Fellowship, including representatives of all the branches in the Commonwealth.
